PLASTICS
Plastic JUGS or BOTTLES with and are the ONLY plastics that go in the blue bin. Other shapes of #1 and #2, and all other #3-7 go in the trash. Keep the caps/covers and triggers sprays ON your plastic jugs and bottles.

Plastic bags are NOT accepted in your recycle bins! Dunkin Donuts iced coffee cups are NOT accepted in your recycle bins! Plastic bags from wood pellets and grain are NOT accepted in your recycle bin!
Bottles/jugs that previously contained hazardous materials such as motor oil or pesticides CANNOT be recycled and must go to an Eco Depot location. To locate an Eco-Depot location click here, or call RIRRC at 942-1430 x241 for more information.
RIGID PLASTIC – Hard plastic items such as children’s toys, vacuums, hose reels, lawn furniture, etc.are NOT picked up curbside. Please bring these items to the Recycling & Compost Facility at Whipple Ave.
Please rinse out all containers, as this will help control odor, bugs, and wild animals.
METAL
Tin/Aluminum cans, small metal items, metal lids & pie plates, empty latex paint cans, and small pieces of scrap metal can be placed in your Blue Bin.
SCRAP METAL – Pieces of scrap metal larger than 3ft are NOT picked up curbside. Please bring these items to the Recycling & Compost Facility at Whipple Ave.
Oil based paint cans are considered hazardous material and CANNOT be placed in your Blue Bin. Please bring to an Eco Depot location with other hazardous waste items. To locate an Eco-Depot location click here, or call RIRRC at 942-1430 x241 for more information.
