The Whipple Avenue Compost Facility is closed for the 2009/2010 winter season.
ATTENTION BURRILLVILLE RESIDENTS
The Whipple Avenue Compost Facility officially closed for the season on November 28th, 2009.
Appointments can be made for mattresses and box springs, scrap metal, tires and eletronics.
Appointments are available Monday thru Friday from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm. Please call the Department of Public Works at 568-4440 to schedule an appointment.
Rigid plastic cannot be dropped off until the Compost Facility opens full time in the Spring. Items can also be brought to Rhode Island Resource Recovery in Johnston. There is no charge for E-Waste, metals, or plastic. There is a $7.00 for tires, and a $75.00 charge for oversized or off-road tires.

Monday - Friday 6 am to 3:45 pm
Saturday - 6 am to 12 noon

Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
Please check in at the office, and someone will show you to the proper disposal container.
Currently, the Whipple Avenue Compost Facility is scheduled to open on Saturday, April 3, 2010.
