There are many positions on boards, committees and commissions appointed each year. If you are interested in volunteering, fill out an application on-line or in the town clerk’s office. It is the first step in matching your talents and experience to the task at hand. Standard meeting times and
locations are listed below.
From time to time the Town Council may establish a special board or group to address a specific issue or project. These boards have limited terms based on the task or assignment. Powers and duties are established by the Town council to meet the objectives of the board or group.

New special boards and commissions are normally advertised in local publications and/or are included in the Town's website under the Appointed and Volunteer Boards section.

Notes on Agenda Deadlines:
Town Council: 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday preceding the regular meeting. Due at the Town Clerk's Office.
Planning: First Friday of month previous to meeting. Due at the Planning Office
Zoning: One month prior to meeting. Due at Zoning Official's Office
Redevelopment Agency: 4:00 p.m. on the Tuesday preceding the meeting. Due at the Town Manager's Office.
Changes in the regular schedule of meetings will be posted at the Burrillville Town Building.
